We’ve got to say it! From in person conversations, to the physical interactions with materials, and simple regional pride, we have to say that local print shop is just better. We’ve handled reprinting or completely re-doing so many print jobs that were sent to some online printer somewhere, we feel a bit more than justified doing so.
What makes a local print shop better than an online service? Well it isn’t just that it’s brick and mortar and not online. We are in fact big fans of online printing, and are happy to offer our own online print services. No, it isn’t just the technology of how you order, it is much more about the people and the customer service. We’re online and convenient, but we’re also right here in Huntingdon Valley – available when you need us.
Here are our top 5 reasons a local print shop is your best choice.
Talk over a problem
We say it over and over again on this blog, but every printing project is unique. Your company or your organization is unique and what and why you print is different than any other company’s printing. You will have your own set of needs and issues, and the best way to deal with them and be sure you are getting the best for your money is to talk it over. And not just with anyone. But with experts in printing who have the experience with printing, paper, and print finishing to get you great printing for a great deal.
You can walk into our shop anytime and get that kind of help.
Say stop when you need to stop
Plans change, dates change, ideas, and even colors change. We get that, and we are always available to help you. If you need to pause a print job, or change something, or even cancel – we are just a phone call or email away. And we’re just a small team answering the phone, not a call center somewhere.
Know who is working on your project
Just like you can call us to stop something, or call us to ask a question. You are welcome to call or stop in and see how your job is being printed. We’re happy to show our process. We have great CSRs who can guide you through the printing process from idea to shipping. We have designers that can make your ideas real, and pressmen with the experience to do your job right.
Touch the paper you are using
Print is ultimately a physical object, and paper is an idea that says a lot more about your company than you might think. Online things are often pared down to the easiest and most popular. That’s fine as far as it goes, but there are hundreds of paper companies that produce thousands and thousands of papers. The choices are extensive, and we are happy to guide you and your project to a middle ground between overwhelming options and 2 or 3 old standards.
With a local print shop you can talk it over, and actually feel the papers you could print on.
See physical samples
Just as feeling paper can tell you a lot about the project you are printing, so can all the other parts of a job. We can show you and let you hold a physical sample of how a paper might be cut, bound, trimmed or otherwise finished. We can show you markdowns of a given ink, or print out blue line proofs, or hard copy proofs.
Then we can go over any potential issues, or problems you might have then and there. No facelessly emailing back and forth, or worse yet, just crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.
And one last thing.
Regional pride. We have it. We’re happy to be a part of our community . And we’re always willing to take a few moments to discuss the latest Phillie’s or Eagle’s game, or what’s happening at the local schools. Or anything else of local interest.
Altogether, it’s about being part of the community and being physically present for all of our customers. Building relationships, trust, and not just talking or typing from some office somewhere.
